Ureteral Urothelial Carcinoma Grade 3 is an aggressive, rare cancer, especially for my age and gender. My journey started in November 2024, and I was officially diagnosed in February 2025. So far, I am lucky that it has not progressed to my bladder. April 2025 a stent was placed to allow urine to move from my kidney to my bladder because the ureter was completely blocked and my kidney was not draining. I began chemotherapy at the end of May 2025. In June 2025 the stent caused a sepsis infection that led to a heart attack 3 days later. My left kidney, ureter and ovary were removed in August 2025 in an effort to remove the cancer, but unfortunately, some cancer cells may have been missed according to the pathology report. A minimum of 1 year of immunotherapy treatments started a few months ago.

I have been through chemotherapy, surgeries, diagnostic testing, hospital stays, ER visits and many, many doctor visits. Along with immunotherapy, I will be having regular blood testing, scans and scoping done, hoping and praying there are not signs of recurrence or metastasis.

My husband and our 6 year old who live with me, as well as my 2 oldest children (24 and 19) who are grown and no longer in the home, have been along for the rollercoaster of emotions, worrying about every new hurdle that comes along. I wouldn't be able to make it through without them and their support.

Your gracious support would mean the world to us, easing our worries about how we will be able to pay for everything my medical insurance doesn't cover and still be able to pay our regular day to day expenses.
