Some friendships are woven into the fabric of your life. Amy Behrbaum has been my best friend since we were 13 years old at Hayward High School. Today, I’m reaching out not just as her best friend, but as someone who’s watched her face breast cancer with extraordinary courage, grace, and grit.

This diagnosis has been truly life-altering for Amy. She’s undergoing a demanding treatment plan—chemotherapy, surgeries, and countless medical appointments - both locally and at Stanford. The physical and emotional toll is overwhelming, and the financial strain is growing. Yet through it all, Amy continues to face each day with resilience and unwavering positivity.

Amy is the kind of person who lights up every room she enters. She’s always the first to show up for others—without hesitation, without question. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
