Hi everyone, my name is Wennie, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my dear massage therapist and friend, Amy Zhu, to help her fight lung cancer and support her son during this difficult time.

Amy has been working in the U.S. for over 10 years, supporting her son and mother in China while being apart from them. She has always been a very caring and sincere person, giving her heart and energy to help others feel better. Through her massage work and daily acts of kindness, she has touched the lives of many people.

Now, life has presented her with a very tough challenge—she was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and has begun chemotherapy right after going to the ER. The treatments are very expensive and have left her very weak, making it impossible for her to continue working the job that once supported her entire family.

Her son just arrived from China in mid-August to start his school at San Diego State University (SDSU). As an international student, he is not eligible for federal financial aid. During this time, while he is still adjusting to a new environment and not yet able to work, their financial needs are especially urgent. Without Amy’s support, he faces enormous challenges paying for school and basic living expenses, all while worrying about his mom’s health.
