Support Amy Wyatt's Fight for Health
Donation protected
My name is Curt Bowen, and I'm raising funds for my sister, Amy Wyatt. At 45 years old, Amy's life has been entirely transformed by Long COVID, commonly known as "long hauler" syndrome.
Before this illness, Amy was active and independent. Now, the simplest tasks exhaust her completely; she needs to rest just to have enough energy to shower. Long COVID has affected multiple systems in her body:
- Brain: Severe brain fog, short-term memory loss, difficulty following conversations and TV shows
- Heart & Lungs: Recent cardiac and respiratory issues that appeared months after initial infection
- Kidneys: Ongoing complications
- Daily functioning: Extreme fatigue, dizziness, balance problems, and weakness
How This Has Changed Her Life
Amy can no longer work. She misses family events and activities she once loved, like camping with family and friends. Even attending doctor appointments requires assistance, both for transportation and to help with comprehension during the visit.
The unpredictable nature of this illness adds another layer of fear, as new symptoms continue to develop months after her initial infection. Her lungs now function as though she has emphysema, despite never having smoked. She experiences alarming episodes where her heart races while her blood pressure drops dangerously low.
Amy's Greatest Fear
In her own words: "I am so scared of missing out on being a grandparent. I want my life back!"
How Your Support Will Help
Your donations will help cover Amy's:
- Medical expenses not covered by insurance
- Specialized treatments for Long COVID
- Living expenses while she's unable to work
- Transportation to medical appointments
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in Amy's fight to reclaim her health and her life.
Thank you for your compassion and support.
