Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out with a heavy, yet grateful heart.

In October last year, what started as just a routine check-up turned into life-changing news for our entire family. This year, March, we finally got answers.. my sweet mom was diagnosis with Stage 3 Melanoma that spread into her lymphatic system. Doctors have ruled it as "aggressive" and "high grade".

A 5-inch tumor was found completely taking over one of her lymph nodes. She had surgery to remove this tumor and is now undergoing a full year of immunotherapy treatments and doctor visits. Since her diagnosis, doctors have also found other skin cancers that will require more surgeries. Alongside her cancer treatments, she is facing additional procedures, including endoscopies, PET scans, and other testing to monitor her diagnosis closely.

She has now undergone two surgeries, with at least one more in the near future. She has been working with two cancer specialists, gastroenterologists, dermatologists and more. Our days are busy but we are on the right track.

It has been an emotional road for all of us, but I am so grateful to be by her side through every appointment, every treatment, and every difficult day. Watching her walk through this battle with so much strength has been both gut-wrenching and inspiring.

Because of everything she’s facing, she’s missed more work than we can count. She is still holding a full time job, being a full-time grandma (the best, I might add) and taking care of her health.

Her partner, Tammie, has been nothing short of amazing and is working overtime and harder than she should have to, to help offset costs of missed work days and treatments.

Between surgeries, treatments, recovery days, and new appointments being added, it’s been hard for her to keep up with her normal life—let alone her financial responsibilities. The strain is heavy, and I would love nothing more than to help lift some of that weight off of her.

I created this fundraiser to help cover her medical bills, treatment costs, and living expenses so that both her and Tammie can focus on her health without worrying about working through exhaustion.
