Aloha, my name is Maddie Sloan. I’m organizing this GoFundMe to help raise money for my best friend Mo’o and her mom Amy Moore as she begins her fight against stage 4 lung cancer.

Amy has been sick for weeks now due to adrenal hemorrhage, keeping her out of work. There is still a long road ahead of further tests that need to be done. We are still awaiting cancer type and where it resides in her body entirely. Her daughter Mo’orea will be accompanying her to O’ahu as needed for tests and treatment.

All donations raised will be used to cover medical expenses and travel as treatment is limited on Kauai. Naturally, over the course of her treatment, Aunty Amy will be unable to work and Mo’o will also be taking time off to accompany and care for her.

First and foremost I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped me so far. The past week has been a nightmare mentally and emotionally, a feeling anyone who has ever had to face this with a loved one knows. Anyone who knows my mom, knows how magical of a person she is.
