Support Amy Kuehn Ellingson in Her Cancer Fight
Donation protected
On a Monday night in June, our friend Amy was in such terrible pain that she was rushed to the emergency room. The doctors discovered a large mass in her colon, and she had surgery to remove it that Wednesday morning. Unfortunately, she was given the news we all dreaded. It was colon cancer.
For the past 3 months, Amy has struggled. Her body has not been accepting the IV chemo treatments well, and she is constantly and consistently extremely sick. The doctors are doing their best to adjust the treatment, but that process itself is difficult and not without struggle. Additionally, Amy has been healing very slowly from her first surgery and needs to get to a better place physically before she can have her next needed surgery.
Throughout all of this, Amy has continued to work as much as possible, but that is more and more difficult. Her priority is her health and continuing to care for and keep as much normalcy for her children during this time.
We are reaching out to you all to please help this amazing person. Our friend. She needs to be able to rest, take care of herself and get the best treatment possible. For many of us, it is more than a 2-hour drive for us to get to Amy. We have been doing as much as we can in all aspects, but her needs are greater than what we can provide.
For those of you that know Amy, you know that she is kind and generous. Sweet and caring. Fun and selfless. For those of you that don’t personally know Amy, you can trust that your donation is going to someone who will not take any of your generosity for granted and every dollar will be appreciated. She is tough and will get through this, but we need her to be able to focus on herself, her health, her children and other priorities other than the financial burdens that go along with being sick.
Thank you to all who can help.
