The staff at Avoca Foodland are raising money for our manager, Amy McCoy, and her boyfriend, Rick McMurphy, to take a vacation to the Grotto in West Bend, Iowa.

Earlier this year, Rick was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After a few rounds of chemo and radiation therapy, a mass was found on the top right side of Rick's brain, making it hard for him to live day to day without difficulty.

If you are a regular customer of the grocery store in Avoca, IA, you know that Amy is an amazing person who is always going above and beyond for everyone she can. She works extremely hard and she has a huge heart. She is struggling to find a balance between the store, Rick's doctor appointments, and spending as much time with Rick as she can.

Rick would like to go see the Grotto and we would like to make that happen for them.
