Support Amy After The Tragic Loss of Zander
Donation protected
Our community is gathering together to support Amy after the sudden and tragic loss of Zander. They have contributed so much of their time, energy, and hearts to MidCoast Maine over the years.
On September 4, Zander was with friends when he collapsed and was Lifeflighted to Portland. He had suffered from a catastrophic brain aneurysm. He was 47, healthy, and had no prior symptoms.
Zander was loved by so many, especially his partner of 20 years, Amy. As we grieve this senseless loss together, we know that Amy will need significant support in the coming months. Although Amy works as a freelance designer and artist, Zander was the primary breadwinner in their home, covering the majority of their expenses. As a freelancer, Amy does not have paid time off for vacation, illness, or bereavement. Amy is facing significant unexpected costs related to Zander's passing, including medical bills and other end-of-life expenses. Their home was a labor of love that they undertook together, and it requires a number of immediate maintenance expenses. Funding will allow Amy the time she needs to process and grieve without additional stressors, especially over this next year.
Your support is so very appreciated. Whether you are local or far away, donations are welcome to cover some of the immediate and midterm, unexpected costs Amy is now facing. Thank you all so much for your love and support during this unthinkable time.
