My name is Brogan Nelson and I’m an emerging artist in NYC hoping to raise money for my debut cabaret! I have always dreamed of having a solo show in New York, and with your help, I’ll be able to make my dream a reality.

Living and making art in New York is really expensive. With your donations, I will be able to fairly pay my accompanist/music director, pay my guest performers, hire a stage manager, pay for rehearsal spaces (which cost between $25 and $50 per hour), and cover venue rental costs.

Truly any amount helps. And if I’m able to hit my goal, and produce a successful show, I might even be able to create a cabaret series, which would make my heart very happy. There is nothing that brings me more joy than singing and telling stories on stage, and I really hope that with your help I will be able to create my own space to do what I love and share that joy with all of you.

Fascinating Rhythm: An Evening of Jazz and Musical Theatre Classics is a cabaret filled with jazz standards, iconic musical theatre hits, silly stories, and special guest duets. It combines the classic energy of jazz with my modern vibe and sensibilities. I got the idea to put on this show after doing a series of performances for retirement homes over the holidays in my home town. These performances consisted of an hour set which combined holiday classics with jazz

standards, and to watch how this music resonated with people was really magical. I hope to bring that same magic to NYC!
