Amsted Automotive is coming together to support our employees in and around Oxford, MS, who have been deeply impacted by the recent ice storms. The effects have ranged from the loss of perishable food and small appliances due to extended power outages, to the heartbreaking total destruction of homes and vehicles. Our team members are facing challenges that go far beyond what anyone could have prepared for, and while the company has stepped in to help, the need is greater than what we can cover alone.
To ensure that every employee receives the help they need, we will be distributing funds based on tiers of need. Tier 1 will provide support for those who have lost food and small appliances. Tier 2 will offer higher assistance to those dealing with heavy home and vehicle damage. Tier 3 is reserved for employees who have suffered the total loss of their home and vehicle, ensuring they receive the most substantial support possible. This approach allows us to address immediate needs like groceries and temporary housing, as well as longer-term recovery and rebuilding efforts.
The company has already provided additional pay, supplies, and both hot and perishable meals to our team, but we know that the road to recovery will require more. We are reaching out to our local community and the broader Amsted family to ask for your support. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our employees as they work to rebuild and recover.
