I hesitate to do anything that involves asking or donating to me or my family personally. I don’t do this litely. For our son Jonathan who has FAP(a genetic mutation of hundreds to thousands of polyps in the colon and rectum. It started when he was 28 and he is now 36. Almost 8 years ago(2012 to 2013). He’s had his Thyroid removed at age 28 due to possibly of leading to cancer. Which is linked to this FAP he has. Then found out he was anemic during the Thyroid removal. Found out he was bleeding internally from this FAP mutation in his Colon. Long, long story short. He’s had a total colectomy, partial rectum removal, gastric sleeve surgery, reversal of small intestine forming a j-pouch for future closer of ileostomy. Not to mention infections in between, endless doctors appointments, upper & lower endoscopes every 6 months to keep check on more growths of polyps. He’s now in hospital in Wake Forest. He found out he had more cancerous polyps in his rectum which led to removal of j-pouch & rest of rectum. So the surgeries for the j-pouch and sleeve surgery were pointless. Those were done so he could do away with his ileostomy(stoma) on his side(bag). This has put such a burden on him financially & is as parents as well trying to help support him. I’m only asking if your able to donate as little as your able. $5 to $10. Whatever your able that suits your budget. And to please share with your friends, relatives, etc. not only to help but to spread the word about this dreadful disease. He never gets a break, and when he does something else happens to set him back. The mental stress alone has taken a toll on him physically. We are a very proud family and normally wouldn’t ask for anything. So if your able and willing this would help him lead a somewhat normal life and find some joy and happiness that he so desperately desires. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know it’s lengthy, but it’s the only way to explain what his been and still going through. God bless you for what ever you can donate to help. I did this fund raiser before which didn’t get very far. I was told by a few people they were getting endless ads about this on their FB page that irritated them, so I took it down. If you are overwhelmed if this happens to you, please just understand it’s probably part of FB’s process to spread the word. And if it’s too much. Just feel free to block me. Atleast until I reach my goal. Because I do still consider all of you people I love and care for.
