On July 5th, baby Amoura Grant was born in Jamaica to her loving parents. What should have been a day of joy quickly turned heartbreaking when doctors discovered that part of her left leg was missing skin. She was soon diagnosed with Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare and painful genetic condition that causes the skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch.
In the days that followed, Amoura’s condition worsened as blisters began to spread. On July 13th, her mother was urgently called to the hospital. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, Amoura’s leg developed a severe infection, and she sadly passed away that same day.
Amoura’s mother is now facing the unimaginable pain of planning her baby’s farewell while grieving her loss. We are raising funds to help cover the cremation expenses, so that Amoura may be laid to rest with dignity and peace.
Resting Butterflies is organizing this fundraiser on her behalf, as she is in Jamaica and unable to create this page herself. Every donation, no matter the size, will directly go toward covering these costs and easing this heavy burden for Amoura’s family.
Thank you for your compassion, your generosity, and for keeping baby Amoura and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
