This GoFundMe has been created to help support Amory and our family with the overwhelming expenses associated with his medical care and recovery. Donations will help cover medical-related needs, household expenses, travel, lodging, and the many unexpected costs that come with being away from home while we remain by Amory’s side throughout his recovery.

On August 24, 2026, Amory was riding his mini bike in Orchard Mesa when he was hit head-on by a drunk driver traveling nearly 60 mph. The impact left Amory with catastrophic, life-threatening injuries.

Amory sustained injuries to his cervical spine, a broken pelvis, fractures to both major bones in his leg, and a broken wrist, along with numerous internal injuries. His spleen had to be removed, his colon required surgical repair, and he underwent surgery to repair an aortic dissection. He has also required tubes to drain fluid from his lungs, may potentially require the removal of a kidney, and suffered a small brain bleed.

The severity of Amory’s injuries was so extensive that his initial medical team at St. Mary’s was unable to close the surgical incisions to his chest and abdomen before he needed to be transported by CareFlight to Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver for a higher level of specialized care.

As of August 25, Amory remains stable, but he is intubated and heavily sedated while his body begins to recover. He has already undergone multiple surgeries, with more treatment and a long road of healing and rehabilitation ahead of him.

This has been an unimaginable, emotional, and incredibly difficult time for our family. Right now, our entire focus is on Amory—being by his side, advocating for him, and making sure he has everything he needs throughout his healing journey.

We do not yet know what the weeks and months ahead will look like or exactly what Amory’s recovery will require. What we do know is that we want to give him every possible opportunity to heal and recover without the additional worry of how we will manage the financial burden that comes along with it.
