Every grandmother dreams of seeing her grandchild run, play, and laugh freely. That dream for my little granddaughter, Libby Miguela Amirah Esposo, has always felt out of reach. Amirah, as we call her, is only 2 years old. She was born with a complex congenital heart condition: Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV). From the moment she was born, something was different. By six months old, her parents noticed that her lips and nails would turn blue. Those moments terrified us, knowing her little heart wasn’t able to pump oxygen. It breaks our hearts that other children can play around with boundless energy while Amirah tires so easily. She lives with chronic cyanosis, and fatigue has become part of her everyday life. Amirah recently developed sinusitis, a condition that could complicate everything. Her oxygen saturation was dangerously low at 74%, and waiting isn’t an option.
We are sharing her story to raise funds for her surgery as soon as possible.
Amirah lives in the Philippines with her parents.
Those who are gold-hearted and would want to share their blessings, please send funds
