Hello everyone,
My name is Amirah, and I’m 21 years old.
I’m currently a student at Georgia State University, and I work while helping support myself at home, where I live with my family.
I’m reaching out because I truly need help.
Since I was 17, I’ve been dealing with severe dental issues. Over the years, they’ve only gotten worse. Some dentists have even questioned if there could be a deeper underlying issue, suggesting testing for possible infections. In the meantime, I’ve had to rely on temporary fixes just to get by.
As a result, I’ve lost several teeth due to breakage and decay. The pain has been constant, and it’s started to affect not just my physical health, but my confidence as well. There are days where I struggle to smile or even speak without feeling self-conscious.
I’ve been told that my options may involve extracting most—or even all—of my teeth and replacing them with porcelain restorations. Unfortunately, the cost of this kind of treatment is far beyond what I can afford on my own.
So I’m asking for help.
My goal is to raise $12,000 to go toward the treatment I need to restore my smile and my health.
If you’re able to give anything at all, it would mean more to me than I can express. And if not, sharing this would also help so much.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
