Help Me Chase My Basketball Dreams – Aminah’s AAU Season

Hi, my name is Aminah Mahmoud. I’m a sophomore at Silas High School in Tacoma, WA, and I play basketball for Team Walton 16U. Basketball isn’t just a sport to me—it’s my passion, my focus, and a huge part of my dreams for the future.

This year, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to travel and compete in some major AAU tournaments with my team. These experiences are not only helping me grow as a player, but they’re also opening doors for college exposure and long-term opportunities. However, the travel expenses, tournament fees, and gear all add up quickly—and that’s why I’m reaching out.

My mom is a single mom raising four of us on her own. She’s doing everything she can, but the cost of keeping up with the season is more than we can afford right now. My dad is currently incarcerated, and we’re fighting hard for him to come home—but in the meantime, my mom carries it all on her shoulders.

I’m asking for your support to help cover my travel and participation expenses for this season. Every dollar helps and goes directly toward transportation, lodging, tournament entry fees, and other necessary costs.
