Support Jaden's Path to Education and Security

Hello, my name is Jaden. I'm reaching out because I’ve spent years trying to build my life on my own, and I’ve reached a point where I can’t keep doing it without support.

I’ve experienced homelessness twice — once as a teenager while attending college, and again more recently after returning to my mother’s home to help with finances and care for my younger siblings. Unfortunately, what I hoped would be a temporary solution turned into a harmful and unstable situation. My mother mismanaged money, emotionally mistreated me, and refused to support me in crucial ways, like helping with transportation or co-signing for a car, even downright refusing to help with financial aid, which led to missed job and educational opportunities, including a position as a court reporter. That opportunity could’ve changed my life, but I had no way to get to the job site.

In the middle of trying to survive all of this, I’ve also gone through the trauma of three miscarriages, one of them occurring recently, likely brought on by chronic stress and limited access to adequate healthcare. I’ve had to face it in silence while trying to stay strong and keep moving forward.

I also have student loan debt I had to take on as a financially independent student, a portion of that coming from a school that failed to unenroll me when I told them I couldn’t attend due to their lack of adequate student housing. Because of that, I was charged and left with a transcript showing poor academic performance, because I never stepped foot on campus. I’ve been trying to correct it, but I’m constantly being bounced between the school and the National Student Clearinghouse, with no real resolution.

Despite everything, I’ve never stopped trying. I’m determined to get back on my feet and build something better. I want to finish my education through a self-paced medical billing and coding program, pay off my student debt, purchase a car to take control of my work opportunities, and secure stable housing.

Here’s how the funds would be used:

$10,000 – to pay off my remaining student loan debt

$4,500 – to purchase a used car and cover initial housing costs

$3,500 – Cover daily living expenses, savings, and fund my self-study program in medical billing and coding

I’m not asking for a handout — I’m asking for a chance to start over with dignity. If you’ve ever felt stuck, unsupported, or held back by circumstances outside of your control, you’ll understand why this means so much to me.

Any amount you’re able to give or share helps me take a step closer to stability, healing, and hope. Thank you for reading my story.
