Hi! I’m Ames Ossi (He/Him), a student filmmaker at School of Visual Arts. I’m finishing up my Junior year and gearing up for my thesis film, “They’re Here”.

“They’re Here” is a Sci-Fi film set in 1979. When townsfolk of Carpsville begin disappearing, outcast and extraterrestrial fanatic, Lori Buchanan, discovers that aliens have infiltrated her town and they look nothing like they do in the movies.

The film’s overall message lies within the state of our planet and how it is rapidly declining because of how we treat it.

Since the film takes place in the past, production design will be pretty costly! I want to make sure that everything seen in the film is accurate and representative of the time period, ie - televisions, cameras, telephones, cars, etc. We will also need to buy time accurate wardrobes for our actors. Speaking of actors, we also need to feed our lovely cast and crew!
