Hey y'all. I am setting up this GoFundMe for one of my best friends, Mallory. Her daughter, Amerie, has suffered a traumatic brain injury and is in the hospital. She fell out of a netted trampoline several days ago. She was sitting on the edge of the trampoline where she thought the net continued behind her; unfortunately, she was sitting at the opening of the trampoline and didn’t realize that as she threw herself back, thinking the net would catch her. She fell to the ground, hitting the back of her head. She suffered a fracture that goes from right above her right ear, above the temporal lobe, and all the way down to the bottom of her skull. Thankfully, she didn't have any spinal damage. She had slight bleeding in her brain that has healed itself. She is experiencing swelling at the site of the fracture. Amerie is the toughest kid. Never complains about anything, so when my girl cries, we all cry. Her liquids are distributed through IVs, and until she can hold anything down, she will continue to be monitored. There is nothing worse than a parent watching their child cry out in pain and no amount of pain meds that can help. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. She is the toughest girl. We expect a full recovery, although the road is going to be long and tough. Like any parent would do, Mallory is spending all of her time at the hospital. With that comes the added extra expense of getting meals and getting them delivered for the rest of her family, amongst other expenses like gas. If you can't donate, please share her story.
