Our unsustainable national debt ($38 trillion and growing) and deficits ($2 trillion per year) are both an existential crisis for our nation's next 250 years and make our lives increasingly unaffordable.
This ever increasing debt and deficits keep long term interest rates high-making buying a home or paying off our student debt, for us, part of a fading American Dream. And Social Security will be insolvent by 2033.
We may be the first generation in American history to be poorer than our parents.
But now there is something we can do about all this.
If we come together with one set of innovative and creative ideas and speak with one voice we can set a new course for our nation's next 250 years.
The Next 250 Collective's goal is to assemble a group of disciplined individuals with a defined, common set of innovative ideas regarding US fiscal policy to organize and run for the U.S. House of Representatives. One group effort speaking with one voice and bring about creative and powerful positive change.
We will create legislation that will transform the soon to be bankrupt Social Security program, the greatest driver of our debt, into a wealth creation machine for young Americans and re-imagine the social safety net.
We can collect more revenue from the wealthy, lift the poor and working families into the middle class and even promote generational wealth for many Americans.
All this will lead to greater economic growth and substantial reduction in debt and deficits-and a new, optimistic path for our nation's next 250 years. Starting now.
