Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

We are reaching out in a time of unimaginable hardship for our family. Our beautiful 14-year-old, Amelie, who will turn 15 in May, has been diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer affecting her brain stem. She was diagnosed just a week ago, and we are now facing a long and challenging road ahead.

As Amelie begins treatment, including radiotherapy, her parents, Tara and Matt, are focused on being by her side every step of the way. They are dedicating their time to care for her, ensuring she gets the best support possible during this battle. As such, they are both having to step away from work to tend to Amelie’s medical and emotional needs.

The costs of ongoing treatment, living expenses, and the need to create positive experiences for Amelie during this time are significant. We are asking for help from our loving community to ensure they can remain by her side without the financial burden overwhelming them.

Our goal is to raise enough to cover a year of bills and living expenses and to give Amelie (and her sister, Sophia) a chance to enjoy experiences, events, and holidays that will create lasting memories with her family and friends during this challenging time.
