From Charlotte 'So sometimes life can be hard … sometimes really hard! For me and my family this is definitely one of those times!

We have had the most awful time dealing with the illness and loss of our precious mum/nanny and without any time to grieve Ameera became poorly.

Our ‘baby’ Ameera has Cancer. It’s a rare type of tumour to be found in children and would not normally be found on the bladder.

We were referred to Addenbrooke’s at the beginning of February for surgery to remove the tumour but unfortunately this wasn’t successful. We then had a long wait for the histology on the tumour and we do now finally have the full diagnosis and a treatment plan. This treatment should start in the next week or so now that Ameera and Addenbrooke’s have been accepted on to the trial (only The Royal Marsden in London was previously signed up).

Ameera has been through so much already .. a few complications to say the least! But after 6 weeks at Addenbrooke’s already, hopefully this is the beginning of the end for ‘BOB’!

We miss Zabrina and Talulla terribly, they have been staying with my family in Scotland!

Thankfully with the help of The Sick Children's Trust Dave has been able to stay at Acorn house which is a 2 minute walk from the hospital, so he can be with me and Ameera otherwise it could of been an even tougher 6 weeks!

We are nowhere near at the end of Ameeras Cancer Journey, some may say we are just at the start but with all the love and support of lots of people already, we will get through this! We will fight this and Ameera has shown us already what a real superhero looks like!
