Help our Amcor Asheville family rebuild and recover
Donation protected
My name is Victoria Ward and I'm a co-worker at the Amcor Asheville Plant and an Amcor employee for 23 years . I was born and raised in the mountains of western North Carolina and so proud of the strength and courage I've witnessed since Hurricane Helene ravaged our homes and businesses. This GoFundMe is to support the Amcor Asheville community with basic needs and to help begin the re-building process that will take weeks and months to come. The funds will be distributed among our 90 co-workers, while allowing those who have less need to donate their share to others more deeply impacted.
The damage inflicted by Hurricane Helene on the western North Carolina mountain communities and surrounding areas has been devastating. The hurricane swept this area with catastrophic flooding and wind damage never before seen in our region. So many lives, homes and businesses have been lost. Entire communities cut off to access of basic necessities, such as power, communication, food, and medical supplies. Our Amcor community is among those suffering. We are all safe, but many are without homes, or have significant damage to homes and property. Many are still without power or water and this could be reality for days and weeks to come. Almost all have a family member or friend severely impacted by this disaster. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and help us reach our goal to help our Amcor Asheville family
Our beautiful mountains are forever changed. But we are a resilient, resourceful and strong people - we will rise up!
Thank you for your support.
