Our daughter Amber is a kind and compassionate woman who has suffered multiple-system failures over the last six months. She worked two part-time jobs—one as a home health caregiver and the other as a package sorter for a major online retailer—until September 2025, when painful mobility issues made it impossible for her to continue. In October 2025, Amber was hospitalized with pneumonia, heart and leg issues, and sepsis. Since then, she has spent most of the last six months in the hospital, fighting to recover.

Amber is now being released from the hospital, but she faces a long road ahead. She has lost almost a third of her pre-hospitalization weight and is unable to stand or walk independently. She also needs help with many personal care tasks. It has been devastating and overwhelming to see her go from a vibrant, active woman to someone who needs constant care. Amber does not have insurance, and the costs of her care, rehabilitation, and daily living support are more than our family can manage alone.

We are raising funds to help cover medical expenses, assistive devices, rehabilitation and recovery support, and living expenses while Amber recovers in a personal care home.
