I am reaching out on behalf of our dear friend, Amber Pappas, who recently experienced a serious accident. After a sudden fall, she suffered a traumatic head injury and spent six days in the ICU. During her hospital stay, she underwent four CT scans, a CT angiogram, a cranial angiogram, and X-rays of her ribs.

Amber sustained a major concussion, a brain bleed, bruised ribs, an injured tailbone, and a brain aneurysm. Thankfully, the aneurysm healed on its own while she was in the hospital. However, her other injuries will take months to heal, and her road to recovery will be long.

Doctors have advised that she remain off work for at least three months—possibly longer—so she can fully focus on healing. During this time, she is unable to drive and relies on a walker and wheelchair to assist with daily activities.

This unexpected situation has placed a heavy emotional and financial burden on Amber. Along with the challenges of recovery, she is facing mounting medical bills and a loss of income during this critical time. As someone who is always there for others, it’s incredibly difficult for her to ask for help—but right now, she truly needs the support of her loved ones, her church, and her community.
