Over the past year, my life has changed in ways I never could have anticipated. I’ve recently been diagnosed with narcolepsy, cervical cancer, and PTSD—conditions that impact not only my physical health, but my ability to work consistently, feel safe in my own body, and manage daily life without constant exhaustion or fear. Some days, even getting out of bed or completing basic routines feels overwhelming.

These diagnoses come on top of a long history of trauma that I have worked incredibly hard to heal from. I have spent years rebuilding my life through recovery, stability, and growth, and I am deeply committed to continuing that work. Being faced with serious medical challenges at this stage of my healing has been emotionally and financially draining, and at times, deeply discouraging.

At this moment, my situation is urgent. Although I am insured, my insurance will not allow me to move forward with critical diagnostic procedures until my deductible is met. My deductible is $8,000, and I have not yet met even $300 of that amount. One of the required procedures—an at-home sleep study necessary to properly diagnose and treat my narcolepsy—costs $3,314 out of pocket for a single night of monitoring. Without the ability to cover this cost, I am unable to move forward with care.

The funds raised here would help cover medical appointments, required testing, procedures, medications, therapy, and basic living expenses during periods when my health limits my ability to work. More than that, this support would give me breathing room—the ability to focus on healing and stability instead of constantly worrying about whether I can access the care I need to survive and recover.

This fundraiser is not about giving up. It is about continuing. Continuing to advocate for my health, protect the life I have worked so hard to rebuild, and move forward with the care that my body and mind urgently need.
