This is my sweet cousin, Amber. As many of you know, she is part of a big beautiful Christian family.
She is a single mom to two beautiful daughters, a loving grandmother to 6 sweet grand babies and a precious daughter and sister.
We all love her so much. She is full of life, her laughter fills any room she enters, her heart is bigger than the ocean and her work ethic is second to none.
Her walk with the lord is also a huge part of who she is. She trusts his plan but is feeling quite anxious about what her future holds.
As many of you are aware Amber was recently diagnosed with AGGRESSIVE squamous cell carcinoma. The cancerous spot itself was removed with MOHS Surgery last week. We won’t know the extent of all of it until the testing and scans are completed in January.
After having a portion of her right ear removed, she now needs to have reconstructive surgery. It will require a 2 part surgery. The first surgery will be done asap and then the second surgery will be done about a month later.
As I mentioned, Amber’s work ethic is second to none but unfortunately, her insurance will not cover any of this. She applied to all of her doctor’s recommended financial aid avenues but was denied by all due to being employed.
This is an aggressive cancer so she has no choice but to come to her community, family and friends for support.
Her insurance only covers one specialist per year and doesn’t include out patient surgery.
The surgery and all other tests and scans are 100% out of pocket costs. Doctors visits, more scans, full body evaluation, surgery center and anesthesia are all part of the upcoming costs.
The family is doing everything we can to help support Amber but of course this is going to keep her out of work and the out-of-pocket cost will be astronomical.
I volunteered to start the GoFundMe to help support her since her insurance is covering absolutely nothing.
I owe her family so much personally. They are all the most giving loving people I have ever met. Her mom even gave one of her kidneys when my husband needed a kidney transplant. That’s just the kind of people they are. They are definitely givers who feel uncomfortable asking for help. So I’m asking on her behalf.
Any amount that you feel lead to give to Amber‘s fight is greatly appreciated. Every dollar adds up and every dollar will help with her expenses. No gift is too small or unappreciated.
We would also greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers as Amber faces this uncertain journey.
Please help her receive the best care she possibly can.
Thank you in advance for every dollar and especially every prayer.
