Support Amber’s Fight Against Illness & Care for Her Daughters

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for Amber — a devoted mother, a caring friend, and someone who has spent her life helping others. Now, she’s facing a battle that has taken a serious toll on her health, her independence, and her ability to provide for her two beautiful daughters, ages 16 and 13.

Amber’s health struggles began suddenly in 2017, when she woke up with severe vertigo and a series of strange, worsening symptoms — hair loss, rapid weight gain from fluid retention, debilitating fatigue, and eventually the loss of her ability to walk without difficulty. For years, she was told “it’s all in your head” and misdiagnosed, while her health steadily declined.

In 2021, she finally found a doctor who listened. Tests revealed severe hypothyroidism, and more recently, a cyst in her pituitary gland. On top of this, Amber faces a growing list of medical challenges:

* Melanoma skin cancer — requires checkups every 3 months

* Pituitary gland cyst — still awaiting further treatment plans

* Spinal issues — protruding C6 and C7 discs; possible surgery recommended

* Severe lower back pain & scoliosis — nerve complications, possible surgery

* Heart murmur — currently under cardiology evaluation

* Prediabetes — despite a lifetime of healthy eating and exercise

Amber spent 20 years in the healthcare field caring for others, but now she can’t work due to her health. She’s always been fiercely independent, but this illness has forced her to rely on others. The hardest part for her is not the pain — it’s that her younger daughter has only ever known her as “the sick mom,” and her older daughter has had to watch her mother’s vibrant energy fade.

Despite everything, Amber’s faith has never wavered. She’s a woman who once saved a stranger’s life while working at a restaurant — performing the Heimlich maneuver and praying aloud the entire time. She believes the Lord has guided her to every doctor she’s met, but the journey is far from over.

Our Goal

We’re aiming to raise $2,500 to help cover:

* Medical expenses not fully covered by insurance. Yes I do have insurance, but there are procedures that my insurance does not want to cover. I have an MRI bill that is coming to me for over $7000.

* Living expenses for Amber’s daughters, including food, clothing, and school supplies

* Household bills so Amber can focus on healing without the stress of financial uncertainty
