We are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my sister who was suddenly diagnosed with Stage 3 Cervical Cancer. She needs immediate treatment to stop the spread, and requires multiple different approaches for her specific stage. The span of treatments will last several months, all of which she will be out of work and must travel out of town to receive the care she needs. We are asking for donations first and foremost for the portion of her treatment plan that her insurance will not be covering. She requires several rounds of internal radiation, external radiation, and chemotherapy. The costs for her to get the full treatment necessary to fight this will be the biggest and most needed expense. Aside from the high cost of medical bills associated with the management of her condition, funds to maintain her home while away, costs associated with lodging and transport to and from the cancer center, monthly bills while out of work, and any other costs that may arise during her cancer battle will also be funded by any donations. She is a single mother of 1 teenage daughter and the sole provider in her home. Our family will be helping as much as we possibly can throughout her journey, but any little bit of assistance we can get will help. Raising funds to offset just a portion of her bills will be a great blessing to her and her daughter while undergoing treatment.
