On July 5, our dear friend Amber and her two daughters experienced an unimaginable loss — the sudden passing of their dad, Joey.

Though Amber and Joey were no longer married, they remained united in raising their girls and ensuring they felt loved by both parents. Joey had no surviving family — his parents passed away in recent years, and he was an only child. This has left Amber and her family to carry not only the emotional weight of this loss, but also the unexpected financial burden of funeral and related expenses.

In the month since his passing, Amber’s family has covered much of these costs out of love and loyalty — because in their eyes, Joey was still family. Now, we’re asking for a little help to ease this burden.

The funds raised will go directly toward:

• Covering funeral and memorial expenses

• Starting a small savings fund for Amber’s daughters as they navigate life without their dad’s presence and support
