Support Amber's Eye Surgery and Recovery

Hi, I am Amber Cole. I was recently diagnosed with Strabismus / Misalignment of my eyes. This caused me to have double vision and blurred vision, which caused me to stop working temporarily and go on Short Term Disability through my job. However, they have not approved me for the past month and a half, so I haven’t been able to pay my bills.

I just had eye surgery on Friday, 1-17-2025. My insurance deductible is $3,000 and my out-of-pocket is $4,500. I am trying to raise some money to help with these bills. This first surgery may not correct the problem, and it is very possible I may need another surgery as it is not an exact science to remove the muscles and reattach them so my eyes will stop crossing. Currently, I am still seeing double and my depth perception is off. It is extremely painful, so prayers are welcome as well. Never underestimate the power of prayer.

I have never done a GoFundMe page before, but I live alone and only my income supports me, and currently, I do not have an income coming in. If they approve my disability now with all the new paperwork from my ophthalmologist, then I will at least get 65% of my pay. But for now, I am in a bad way and reaching out for help.
