On Sunday May 4th, Amberlyn was involved in a dirt bike accident near their home in Gypsum. She suffered a fracture in her T5 Vertebrae and extensive damage to her spinal cord and underwent a 10 hour surgery to place screws in herT1-T9 vertebrae to stabilize her spinal column. She currently has no movement from her chest down.

In the coming days she will be in the ICU at St. Mary's Hospital and then transferred to another floor until she is ready to undergo intensive rehabilitation at Craig Hospital in Denver.

Amberlyn and her husband Chris, have 3 active boys, Caiven 19, Keaden 16, and Kyzen 11, all who excel in various sports and outdoor activities. The Lake family has and always will be a close fun-loving, adventurous team and with some extra support we can help them through this.

The road ahead for Amberlyn, her family and close friends will be a long one with months spent away from home, school and work. This amazing family will need all the love, and support we can give.
