On the morning of October 24, 2018, Jorge and his three kids’ world was changed forever…after battling multiple illnesses, including lung disease for 6+ years, Amber suffered a severe stroke and was not able to recover.  It has been just over four months since Amber Corbitt Cimadevilla passed away after a long and difficult battle with lung disease and other health issues. 

Amber was a fighter of Lupus, MCTD (Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder), and A1AT (Alpha-1 Antitrypsin).  The 41-year old beloved wife, mother of 3, and only daughter was dearly loved by her special family and so many friends as evidenced in the large outpouring of love and support at her sad departure from this life December 1, 2018.  Her faith was strong, and her heart was BIG.  She inspired the world through her sense of humor, optimism, and her passion for life.  Her family and friends were her source of strength.  She is greatly missed beyond words.

Now that some time has passed, her husband, Jorge, and their 3 kids – Corbitt, Ellie and Marisol - face the reality of life without a wife and mother.  The struggle and grief are real, and yet, life has to go on.  Many offered their help during the last days of her life, and many continue to offer help and support.  It’s our hope to round up some financial support to help Jorge and the kids as they try to get back on their feet and begin to tackle the very difficult and painful task of life without Amber.
