One week ago, Amber Kelly was told she has inoperable stage 4 lung cancer, with tumors in both lungs, the largest the size of an orange. Chemotherapy starts within days. A brain MRI is scheduled to see whether it has spread further.

Amber and her husband Ryan have built a life in Dutch John, Utah, where Ryan works as a fly fishing guide on the Green River and runs @greenriverflyfisher, a guiding and videography business he built after an autoimmune disorder limited how often he can guide. Both Ryan and Amber have also spent years on staff at Sundance Ski Resort. Amber is known across this community for showing up for others: at church and school events, at fundraisers for other families in need, and as a server at the resort restaurant. Amber is a ray of sunshine!

She's the one who's usually organizing the help. Now she needs it.

The Kellys have insurance, but high deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, and the loss of Ryan's income while he cares for Amber and their 15-year-old son will add up quickly during treatment.

This fund will go directly toward:

• Chemotherapy and treatment-related medical costs

• Travel and lodging for appointments and specialist care

• Replacing lost income while Ryan cares for Amber and their son

• Basic living expenses through treatment
