Support Amber & Simon's Recovery from Hurricane Helene

Hello everyone, thank you for taking time out of your day to come help our dear friends, Amber & Simon. To be transparent, my name is Austin Tabb. Simon & Amber are both some of the closest people I have in my life, and all I want is to ensure their recovery from Hurricane Helene is as easy as possible, all things considered.

If you're unaware, both Simon & Amber have been affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. The few days of patiently waiting to hear from them after the impact was absolutely gut-wrenching; but thankfully they're both safe, including their little pup, Jackson. While we were waiting to hear about their safety, they were having to chainsaw their way out of their neighborhood, making their way down from where their house was to flooded roads blocking their path. They ended up abandoning their car and being assisted by rescue workers who got them to shelter in Asheville.

Asheville unfortunately wasn't the safest of havens as it too was horribly affected by Hurricane Helene. In Asheville, they were able to meet up with friends, get supplies, and eventually get to a safe place in Charlotte. While in Charlotte, trying to wrap their heads around what just happened, the reality of everything started to add up.

We wanted to wait for the dust to settle before even considering the GoFundMe direction, but with how things are looking now, help is absolutely needed. Burial Brewing in Asheville, where Simon works, is going to need time before they're open again. Both cities of Asheville & Hendersonville are going to take months, if not years, to bring back to the state they were in before Helene.

To add insult to injury to our friends, their wedding, which was planned to be held later this month, has to be canceled. The venue in Hendersonville was completely destroyed, and with everything else in a state of shambles, the wedding is unfortunately the last thing either of them has on their minds.

These two were meant to be celebrated this month, not to have to completely rebuild their lives. Please donate to our friends to ensure these next few months are at least a little bit easier than they would be without our help. The donations will go to assist their rebuilding efforts and to just live life as normally as possible while sorting all of this out.
