Hi. My name is Amber Rachdi. I have lost 470 pounds over the past decade. That progress came through years of effort, patience, setbacks, learning, and determination. It was not quick or easy, but it completely changed my life. I am humbled and grateful to have the beautiful life I do, but I am far from done.

I live with complex lymphatic and adipose diseases that require lymph-sparing liposuction performed by a highly specialized surgeon in addition to having tons of loose skin. This is not purely a cosmetic surgery. It is medically necessary care intended to improve mobility, prevent pain, and protect my long-term health. The cost is high because this level of surgery requires rare expertise, precision, and deep understanding of lymphatic preservation.

I am incredibly grateful to be working with Dr. Shawn Moshrefi, whose experience and skill in treating these conditions make him the right surgeon for my care. Having the correct expertise matters, especially when protecting the lymphatic system is critical.

This fundraiser supports Phase One of a three-phase surgical plan. Each phase will have its own fundraising goal, and I want to be clear and transparent about that from the beginning. This is a process, and each step brings me closer to better health, independence, and a body that can support the life I have worked so hard to build.
