Support Amber, Evan, and baby Jo

As most of you know, our dear Amber and Evan welcomed baby Jo earthside on January 31st, 9 weeks early. As Amber says, she must have really wanted to come into this world at home, on Haida Gwaii.

Thanks to a great medical team, she arrived safely, but was then medivac’d to the Prince George NICU where she, Amber, and Evan will be staying until little Jo is ready to come home. They have been told that could mean staying in Prince George until Jo’s original due date in April.

Being away from home unexpectedly can be hard in the best of times. Welcoming a new baby without your familiar surroundings, community, and comforts of home is an overwhelming feat full of expenses and unexpected difficulties.
