On June 28, 2026 our beloved Amber was involved in a devastating motor vehicle accident that claimed the life of her beautiful 8-year-old daughter, Monroe. In an instant, Amber's world was forever changed. A tragedy no parent should ever endure.

Monroe had just finished Grade 2 and was looking forward to a fun-filled summer. Bright beyond her years, she amazed those around her with her remarkable vocabulary, quick wit, and endless curiosity. She had a smile that could light up a room, a laugh that was contagious, and a way of making everyone around her feel loved. She was wonderfully sassy with her grandpas, quick with her remarks, and kept them on their toes. Monroe also found a second family through karate, where she built lasting friendships and was encouraged, challenged and loved by her dojo community. Whether she was outside playing, working on a piece of art or simply lounging with her mom, Monroe left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As Amber faces the unimaginable grief of losing Monroe, she is now also faced with the overwhelming financial burden of arranging her daughter's funeral and taking the time she needs away from work to grieve. No parent should have to worry about finances while mourning the loss of their child.
