For Amber: A Hero Who Needs Our Support

If you’ve ever met Amber, you know she’s one of the rare ones—the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back, even if it was the last thing she had. For years, Amber has dedicated her life to helping others. From her time in hospitals in Iowa to working as an EMT / Firefighter and now serving on the Fire and Safety Team at the Indianapolis Speedway, Amber has always run toward danger to protect others.

This past Thursday, while at work, Amber began feeling unwell. It quickly became clear this wasn’t just a case of needing to rest. She was taken to the ER, where she was admitted immediately. Doctors confirmed she had suffered a stroke.

Since then, Amber has remained in the hospital, and over the weekend, she was moved to the ICU after what appears to be a second stroke.

Amber is a fighter, but she needs our love and support now more than ever. For someone who’s spent her life saving others, it’s our turn to rally around her—with hope, prayers, donations, or simply spreading the word.
