Support Amazing Causes For Equine Healing and Rehabilitation

Donation protected
Dear Friends,
I want to bring to your attention two extraordinary women who have devoted their lives to rehabilitating and caring for horses that others would discard. I deeply respect and admire these ladies, not only because of their passion for their work but they are two of the most authentic and caring individuals I have ever met.
Despite the intense physical labour and financial struggle, they both endure to do this, they each are also passionately devoted to their own personal missions to bring about great change in the world. They still find the time, energy and compassion to offer support to people who need it, like me, for example.
Human history has been borne on the back of a horse. For over 5000 years they have been our servants, our friends and our teachers. We owe them so much, and there is something magical about the horse-human relationship that leads us to be instinctively drawn to and fascinated by them. We are only now discovering the science that proves the many benefits of being in their presence. Yet many horses suffer from our relationship with them.
Amy Boxshall
Amy is an Equine rehabilitation trainer and she ‘fixes’ physically and emotionally damaged horses using equine biomechanics and changes in behavioural patterns for many years.
In addition to professional treatment of repeating symptoms by vets and physios etc. Amy focuses on treating the underlying causes of dysfunctional movement patterns and tensions caused by stressors. The problem cannot be solved without addressing (retraining) these patterns. Sadly, by the time they get to Amy, many owners have simply run out of the funds necessary to provide this life saving work.
Amy's mission: 'No horse left behind".
To be able to provide the support for caring, often desperate owners, and the necessary training and care for horses that have the potential to live a long, happy and healthy life but whose only current options, simply through lack of finance or knowledge, are euthanasia or, if they are lucky, a long, boring, and possibly uncomfortable retirement.
Belinda Murphy
Many talented competition horses become unrideable and dangerous due to headshaking syndrome. Belinda has been successfully treating horses like this for over 30 years.
The horses shake their heads vertically, often with a foreleg lifting simultaneously and therefore overbalancing themselves. They are completely absorbed with the sensations in their nose and face, rubbing their heads until they bleed, immersing their heads in water. They become oblivious to anyone or anything else, which can be very dangerous.
Belinda uses her expertise from her Biochemistry/Toxicology degree and her 30 years’ experience using various healing modalities to restore their immune systems, the damage of which is the main cause.
One of her horses, Henry was going to be euthanised. Belinda bought him for a guinea (£1 and a shilling...) and he is now the most honest, sensible horse she has ever known and is phenomenal at helping Belinda with emotional release work with people.
After treatment, these horses can then be ridden by anyone, but there are certain things that must be adhered to going forward, such as correct diet, tack and a recommended ongoing homeopathic routine
Belinda’s mission: to help educate others.
How headshakers are treated, ideally is how every horse and human should look at maintaining their health.
WHY I NEED YOUR SUPPORT:
Between them, Amy and Belinda already have a growing collections of horses, ‘gifted’ to them which they adopted because they cannot live with the idea of ‘giving up on them’ but they still require an investment of time and money. Like you and me, these two dedicated individuals only have 24hrs in a day in which to earn a humble living for themselves, their horses and their missions. They have the heart to create a very ‘affordable to all’, membership site and online training where owners will have access to simple step by step guides walking them through the processes necessary to support their horses at biomechanical and emotional level. Reducing stress levels and regulating emotions is hugely important, not only for horses’ wellbeing but for the safety of their human handlers.
I’ve met these two ladies through my own personal development journey and their work inspires me to step out of my comfort zone, which I’m choosing to do through challenging charitable events regardless of my own medical and physical complications (a 15 inch of blockage in major vain creates extreme pain in my legs) and so, to truly challenge myself I’ve decided that, to raise money this year, I’m going to climb Ben Nevis, accompanied by another dear friend I have made along the way of my journey of growth, Kathryn Horler.
And what better way to push through limitations than to have a compelling reason? My reason is the work Amy and Belinda are doing every day.

How You Can Help
I’m asking you to help me on my mission to raise money for these two incredible individuals, and their causes. They have shown me that there are people in the world, who are prepared to stand up for what they believe in, no matter what it costs them, and who have taught me about the kind of person I want to be.
You could help in one of the following ways:
1. Donate: Please consider making a donation to support Amy and Belinda’s missions. Every pound counts and will directly benefit their work. Your donations will contribute to the care and rehabilitation of existing adopted horses until they are fit to be rehomed on the permanent basis, to subsidise rehabilitation of horses in need whose owners are desperate for help and financially unable to meet the full costs and to fund the production of an educational program.
2. Share: Help spread the word by sharing this message with your friends, family, and social networks.
3. Encourage: Your words of encouragement will keep me motivated as I prepare for this climb.
To donate, please click the donation link. Together, we can support these remarkable women and the causes they champion.
If the work either Amy or Belinda are doing resonates with something you feel you need for your own beloved horse, you can reach out to them via Facebook “Equine- Straight On Soundness” for Amy and “Belinda Ann Murphy” for Belinda.
Thank you for your generosity and for believing in the power of compassion and commitment.
With heartfelt love and gratitude,
