Adam and Amar are co-workers at HDR, in Cleveland, and are working on a project together. They met when the project was initiated, this past Spring; at the time, Amar, his wife, and four-year old daughter were excited about the birth of their son/baby brother in the Fall. Unspeakable tragedy struck the family in the Summer, when Amar's wife passed away during premature labor and his son was admitted to the NICU, where he has remained for four months. Amar's daughter was supposed to start kindergarten at a local school in August but is spending time abroad with her mom's family while Amar figures out their new living situation. Adam started the fundraiser to help Amar with any expenses related to his son's care, his wife's death, and/or the purchase of toys/supplies/clothing for his daughter.
