Dear CCS Community,

We’re asking for support for our amazing coworker and friend, Amaris! At the end of August, Amaris will be taking 6 weeks off to recover from top surgery. We are all so excited for him and want to help make his recovery as restful as possible.

If you know Amaris, you know how diligently he shows up for people. He's worked in childcare for over 10 years and is one of CCS's longest employees. For the last year, he's been working while raising his kid and going to school full time. He is always looking out for our students; coming up with fun ideas and working hard to make our school the best it can be. As a coworker, Amaris is funny, warm and generous. He's willing to step in wherever he's needed with kindness and grace. He even takes care of some of our pets when we go on vacations :-) He is truly the kind of person who never stops giving and now its our turn to support him!

We’re hoping to raise some money so that Amaris can take the time he needs to rest and recover without worrying about finances. Normally, our school organizes a meal train to support, but this time we are opting to use GoFundMe. Amaris' partner has celiac disease and their home has to be totally free from outside food to prevent cross-contamination risk. Instead, we’re using GoFundMe to offer support in a way that works for their family.

If you’re able to contribute, it would mean the world. Every bit helps, and more than anything, we want Amaris to feel surrounded by the love and appreciation he’s so generously given to others.
