On Christmas Eve, I began experiencing an abdominal pain unlike anything I had ever felt before. The pain quickly became unbearable, and by Christmas Day, I found myself in the emergency room. After a series of tests, the doctors determined that my gallbladder needed to be removed immediately. I was hopeful that surgery would be the end of my ordeal, but post-op lab results showed that my pancreas levels were unusually high, prompting even more tests. That’s when they discovered a cyst.
On New Year’s Eve, I received the news that would change my life: I have pancreatic cancer. Hearing those words was devastating, especially during a time that’s usually filled with hope and celebration. Instead, I am starting this New Year on a journey of restoration, determined to fight and heal. The road ahead is uncertain, but I am holding onto hope and the support of my loved ones.
With this diagnosis comes a wave of unimaginable expenses—medical bills, daily living costs, and travel for treatment. I am reaching out to my village, my community, and anyone who feels moved to help. Any amount of support is deeply appreciated and will make a real difference as I focus on healing and recovery. Thank you for standing with me during this challenging time.
