Hi, my name is Amanda Miller and I'm writing this on behalf of my uncle who suffered a stroke on May 4th, 2025. He was working his last day of work for the week when he suddenly didn't feel well, 9 hours into his 10-hour shift. He had a stroke while working and kept going to finish the shift despite blurred vision and a massive pounding headache. He was disoriented and had all the intentions of calling for help and going to the hospital. Instead, in the disoriented state he was in, he drove home, ate, and went to sleep. He awoke the next day not sure why he wasn't at the hospital. The trauma from his stroke caused his decision-making to be compromised, and he wasn't rational. I was closest to drive him to the hospital. I packed him quickly in the car and got him to the hospital and advocated for my uncle because I knew something was wrong with him badly. He's the healthiest man I know, the patriarch of our family, a pillar we don't want to lose. We know he isn't promised tomorrow. When we got him to the hospital, I told them he's having a stroke, please don't make him sit in the waiting room. They rushed him back, and it's like his body knew because he started to decline. After a few days in the hospital and being hammered with tests, he was sent home with no real definitive answers to his stroke, what caused it, or even when the next one will happen. But he is so worried about it; all he wants to do is go back to work. He even told the doctors he needed a note to go back to work the week after. We hit 7 days post-stroke on Sunday, May 11th, since this happened. We are so lucky and happy to have him home.
Here is where this page and you guys come in. This is one of the hardest working men in my life, and to watch him worry and struggle isn't an option. Because of the high risk of stroke, we know it's not safe to worry in the slightest. So we are sharing this with you guys in hopes it will help him cover his monthly expenses while he recovers in peace, with as little stress as possible. He is not sure his job will keep him if he's out of work any longer than necessary. To some companies, we know they can't always wait on us because we don't know even when he will recover. We are hoping this eases some of those worries for him. If you do happen to donate, thank you so much for thinking of him. If you can't, leave a beautiful message on here; anything helps. Thank you. A. Miller
Ps He is going to a more stroke-prepared hospital today, May 9th. He wants to live and survive this. We are hoping the other hospital will be able to help resolve more of his current stroke symptoms. Please pray for our beloved uncle that he stays with us a while longer. Any and all proceeds go straight to him.
update! so it seems that the drs and nurses said uncle is on the verge of retiring. With his prostate cancer, stroke, diabetes and him having hard of hearing is forcing my hard working uncle into retirement. He is on the verge of very slowly getting better. But he is on a very slow mend. AGAIN ANY AND ALL PROCEEDS GO INTO HIS ACCOUNT. This is for the ones that worry he isn't getting his money can contact him via Facebook. He is seeing a load of drs at the moment. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated! He will need help covering monthly expenses, gas to the Drs, foods and his basic necessities. He would even accept care packages. He is happy you guys think of him! And thank you again to all who have taken the time to donate and think of him. He is very happy to hear from you all. Any questions feel free to message me or my uncle on Facebook. Again thank you for praying for him. Super happy he is here to watch us all care for him. I'd like to thank my auntie Frannie for helping as much as she has in this time of his need. You need public announcement also. Your awesome thank you for all you do for all of us. Love you guys.
