My wife, Amanda Baylor, is currently recovering from sepsis and necrotizing fasciitis, a life-threatening infection that required emergency surgery and resulted in her needing two wound debridements and a new colostomy. Every day brings new challenges as we manage her wound care, adjust to the colostomy, and try to keep up with the constant need for medical supplies. The emotional and physical toll has been immense, but we are doing our best to stay strong for each other.
Unfortunately, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Amanda, once a stay-at-home mom, had begun working in October to help pay for our daughter’s hospital bills from her 11-day hospital stay. Unfortunately, she is now unable to work, estimated up to six months or longer, and the medical expenses continue to pile up—thousands of dollars in bills, prescriptions, and home health care. On top of that, we are still facing medical bills from our daughter's hospital stay in September, and I haven’t been able to work the hours I used to. We are doing everything we can, but it’s simply not enough to keep up with the mounting costs.
Asking for help is something I never wanted to do, but we are getting desperate. Any support you can offer will go directly toward medical bills, home health, prescriptions, medical supplies, and daily living expenses. Your kindness and generosity would mean the world to our family as we navigate this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for reading our story and considering a donation.
