Hi, my name is Sonja, one of Amanda’s really good friends, and I am just trying to get her a little help while she is going through this new chapter in life and having medical issues also.

The last few months have been a struggle for Amanda and her son. She had to sell her house quickly, switch jobs to make things work with the move and daycare arrangements! Then finally things started going uphill. Boyd's behavior is getting better! He's on a routine! Amanda and Boyd moved last week, and the next day Amanda ended up in the emergency room and needed an operation. From her Facebook post: Well everyone!! I had an eventful weekend! Friday I left work early not feeling well. Yesterday evening around 6:30 I started having horrible abdominal pain! Around 10:30 I finally went to the ER. CT scans showed possible hernia, blood clot? and possibly a bowel obstruction and or it was twisted. So they rushed me into surgery. When I woke up I found out that they filled me with gas to distend my abdomen and everything flipped to normal again. No more pinched veins, no more twisting, etc. However, I will need to have another surgery in the next couple of months where they put some stents in my stomach to fill the empty gaps that cause all this lack of blood flow and prevent my intestines from twisting again.

Now fast forward to her needing another surgery on October 14th! This will explore her intestines and correct any possible hernias she has or had along with finding anything else they may need to repair! This is all up in the air whether she will be discharged the same day or stay in the hospital. But a minimum of 2 weeks out of work (she's just been out already a week from this surgery). Just when life was starting to move forward for Amanda, life had to throw this in there!! With moving expenses, missing work expenses, and other life expenses, I'm trying to raise some money or even prayers to get Amanda through this unfortunate tough time!!

Amanda is such a great friend and a wonderful mom to Boyd. She does everything she can to make sure Boyd is happy. Boyd is such a great kid also, so let’s try and help Amanda out while she is getting ready for this next surgery. If you're unable to donate, please pray for Amanda.
