Support Amanda's Healing Journey Together

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Jennifer. I’m starting this GoFundMe for my youngest sister, Amanda. Amanda is only 42 years old and is fighting for her life right now in the hospital. She had 100% blockage of her heart, which caused her to have a major heart attack, as well as two other heart attacks back to back, and she had to be resuscitated several times. She is now on a ventilator in the intensive care unit.

We all are praying that Amanda is able to come off of the ventilator soon. If she does, she’s going to have a long road to recovery. She has some broken ribs from the CPR, and she now has a new stent in her heart.

Amanda has always been a very hard worker. She has worked since she was 16 years old. She started working at McDonald's at 16 and stayed there for ten years, and then has worked at a housekeeping company ever since. She married very young and raised her stepchildren from a very young age. She also has a son, Daniel, in the fifth grade. Her husband works as well, but he is going to have to take some time off to help with their son and to take care of Amanda. Amanda’s wages helped with paying all of their bills and rent as well as groceries. Without her income, her family is going to struggle greatly financially. Please consider donating to help. All funds received will go directly to Amanda’s husband to help pay medical bills and care for their son Daniel. Any little amount helps. We need for my sister to wake up and to not have to worry about financial struggles and concentrate on recovering. Also her husband Danny is distraught right now. He just wants for his wife to wake up again and he’s also trying to stay strong for their little boy. He needs our help too. Our family appreciates any donations that you can give. God bless you.

UPDATE 09/26/24

Amanda is still on a ventilator and is heavily sedated. We found out yesterday that Amanda’s lungs have collapsed and she also has pneumonia in both lower lung lobes. Last night was really tough because her oxygen levels dropped really low so the doctors have decided that they are going to have her lay on her stomach several hours each day. That did help her a lot and this morning her levels looked good again. They put her back in her back around 1:00 pm today but they have just put her again on her tummy as her levels were dropping again. They said it may be a few days of this to help her lungs start to heal. Amanda needs a miracle. We need lots of prayers. Thank you so much to everyone that has donated to Amanda’s immediate family. We appreciate it so much and we will keep you updated on her condition.
