Support Amanda's Fight Against TNBC

Meet Amanda,

Amanda is my coworker at Ulta Beauty. She has worked side by side with me for about 10 years on and off. Ulta Beauty helps provide funding for breast cancer research among many things. This is why this is very important for me and the rest of my team at store 427 to share. If you know Amanda, you know she is a pretty private person, but not about this. She wants to share her story and help others. I am here to ask others to help her.

Unfortunately, Amanda received a life-altering diagnosis around Thanksgiving. The diagnosis was she is now battling Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Triple Negative Breast Cancer Stage 1B.

TNBC accounts for 10-15% of all breast cancers. It is a rare and aggressive breast cancer that spreads quickly and has a high recurrence rate even after treatment. It lacks estrogen, progesterone, and HER2 protein receptors; this makes TNBC a challenge to treat at times.

Because of the aggressive nature of Amanda's cancer, her treatment has to be equally aggressive.

As you can imagine, this is not only taxing on her body and her mental health, but it has also been taxing to take care of small things.

Amanda bought her first home this year and was just starting her journey. With this diagnosis, Amanda had to go on a 6-month LOA at work so she could receive her treatments and surgeries. LOA does provide assistance, but not the kind of assistance that is truly helpful when owning your own home and being the only source of income to pay those bills and take care of the property.

There are so many things I could say about Amanda. She is kind, she is funny, and she is smart. She loves her bunnies, kittens, and all animals really. She is a girly girl, she loves makeup, and all things beauty. She has a tight-knit group of friends and she holds them close. That is why we are here to ask for help in helping her through her journey in beating this!!!
