Amanda has seen multiple doctors for over a year, trying to find out why she didn’t have any energy and felt bad most of the time. She had knots in her muscles, arms, legs, shoulders and chest. She continued to have painful joints/muscles and was unable to lift anything with ease, even when using both hands. She was sent to Ortho Arkansas for an MRI of her back, and incidentally, they found enlarged lymph nodes in her abdomen and around her heart. She also had an extremely low platelet count that went undiagnosed for almost a year. Sadly, she was told there was nothing wrong.

Eventually, she got a referral to CARTI. The oncologist ordered a battery of tests and a repeat abdominal scan.

Unfortunately, the lymph nodes had grown in size and the platelet count had gotten lower. She went in for a bone marrow biopsy and a biopsy of the enlarged lymph nodes.

She was diagnosed with Stage 4, B- Cell, Follicular, Non- Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in April.

While this is generally a treatable form of cancer, she has had several, unsuccessful immunotherapy infusions, due to allergic reactions. These severe reactions have prevented her from receiving the medication she needs to treat her cancer. She will eventually have to be hospitalized for each treatment to try the immunotherapy in a more controlled environment.

While her cancer team is working on a viable treatment plan, these setbacks and upcoming hospital stays have posed a huge financial burden for her and her family. Due to the financial strain, Amanda is still having to work full time, even when she is too ill to work.

This fundraiser will offset some of the cost they will continue to face.

Anything will help this family, big or small. If you cannot donate, they are in desperate need of prayer. Our God is all mighty and He knows their need. He will see Amanda and her family through this trying time. With your help, the strain of finances could be one less worry or burden for them.

We thank God for finally sending her to the right place to get the help she needs but it comes with a huge financial burden they were not expecting or prepared to face.
